"Green energy startup in my city’s net zero future" by ALUN, Asian Low-Carbon Cities-Universities Network

This event brought together 55 participants from prestigious universities such as HKBU, Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, Sun-Yat-Sen University, National Taiwan University, Kyoto University, and Macquarie University. In collaboration with the Stanford Deliberative Democracy Lab, students engaged in meaningful discussions on the Stanford Online Deliberation Platform, followed by an insightful virtual Plenary Session.
The theme of the workshop centered around "Green energy start-up for my city's net-zero future." Students from different cities shared their knowledge and experiences regarding green start-up developments, discussing the opportunities and challenges.
To enrich the deliberations, the workshop invited five esteemed professors from the participating universities, namely Prof McLellan, Benjamin, Dr Deng Lifeng, Dr Kim Hana, Dr Huang Liling, and Dr Sara Fuller. Their expertise and guidance enabled students to benefit from their diverse perspectives and research backgrounds.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the workshop was the opportunity for students from different cities to engage in cross-cultural dialogue and exchange ideas. With participants hailing from various Asian cities, the event provided a platform for students to gain insights into different perspectives and approaches to the topic of discussion.
