Bristol: STEM Workshop for Evergreen Primary Academy

The Asian Energy Studies Centre of Hong Kong Baptist University, in collaboration with the University of the West of England (UWE), hosted a dynamic and engaging Energy STEM Workshop. This event aimed to inspire community students to explore the fascinating world of energy through interactive play.

Workshop Overview

The workshop kicked off with an exciting game: students were invited to participate in the Escape Room Challenge, a competition with the grand prize of a trip to a new planet! This playful approach set the tone for an immersive learning experience, breaking down barriers around the concept of energy.

Learning Through Play

Throughout the workshop, students engaged in a range of activities designed to make energy education accessible and enjoyable. Key topics included:

• Understanding 1 kilowatt-hour (kWh): Students learned what this measurement means and what it can power in their daily lives.
