AI - Energy Auditing

Our Phase 4 Research aims to explore how a voluntary, AI-assisted simplified energy auditing (AI-SEA) programme can mainstream energy saving in the residential sector. ​

 

We are testing how integrating five AI methods (i.e. text-analysis, object detection, thermat imaging, conversational AI, and natural language generation) can simplify energy audits, making them faster, cheaper, and more collaborative than traditional techno-centric approaches. ​

 

We are also developing a three-stage capacity building and engagement programme that emphasises human input to improve the outcomes of AI methods.
